The Ride Everyone Talks About

This is the loop that made Girona famous. We leave the medieval old town behind and within fifteen minutes we are on silent, perfectly paved country roads — the same roads where WorldTour pros log their winter miles.

The highlight is the climb to Els Àngels, the monastery overlooking the city where the Madonna famously blessed the cyclists. It’s a gentle, rhythmic ascent of around 10 km at 3–4% — ideal for all levels — followed by a sweeping descent and a well-earned coffee stop in a village square.
