What to Pack for a Cycling Trip to Girona
The complete packing list for a Girona cycling holiday — what to bring, what to rent and what to leave at home.

After hosting thousands of riders, we’ve seen every packing strategy — from the minimalist with one jersey to the rider who brought four helmets. Here’s the list we send to every guest.
The Essentials
- 2–3 bib shorts (you’ll ride daily; laundry beats quantity)
- 3 jerseys including one long-sleeve for descents
- Gilet and light rain jacket — mountain weather changes fast, even in May
- Arm and knee warmers if visiting October–April
- Your own saddle and pedals if you’re particular — we fit them to your rental in minutes
- Sunscreen and sunglasses — the Catalan sun is not joking
What You Can Skip
- A bike box — our premium carbon rentals are included in every tour, perfectly fitted to your measurements
- Tools and spares — our guides carry everything, and Girona’s bike shops are superb
- Energy products — local cafés do it better; bring only what you love
The Pro Tips
- Bring your own shoes. Rental shoes are the one thing that’s never quite right.
- Pack a swimsuit. The Costa Brava coves are 40 minutes away and our coastal ride includes a swim stop in summer.
- Leave room in your bag. Between the local embutidos, olive oil and a bottle of Empordà wine, you will fly home heavier.
