Girona’s calendar is packed with events for every kind of rider. Here are the ones worth planning a trip around — in rough seasonal order.

Volta a Catalunya (March)

The WorldTour stage race passes through the province almost every year — and when it doesn’t, you feel it. Watching the pros climb the same roads you rode that morning never gets old.

Sea Otter Europe (June)

One of the biggest bike festivals in the world takes over Girona every June: expo, demo bikes, gran fondo, gravel race and a city that turns fully two-wheeled for a weekend. Book accommodation months ahead — seriously.

Girona Gravel Rides (Spring & Autumn)

The local gravel scene hosts several grassroots events through Les Gavarres each year. Low-key, dusty and followed by long lunches — exactly how events should be. Our gravel tour rides many of the same tracks.

Local Cicloturistas (Year-round)

Catalonia’s cicloturista culture is strong: friendly mass-participation rides almost every weekend within an hour of Girona. Distances from 60 to 180 km, feed stations with local products, and a festive finish-line atmosphere.
